Applications of Cartesian robots
Transfer between stations
Connect stages without making transfers a bottleneck.
The process
Coordinate stations to maintain flow.
Transporting products between machines or stations requires coordinating availability, arrival and departure. The layout must consider crossing points, team access and how to resume operation after a stop.
Architecture to evaluate
CR-NX-1P
The configuration starts from the origin and destination points. The number of axes and axis travel ranges are selected after evaluating heights, obstacles and orientation.

How it works
The operation in 3 steps.
- Confirm the origin
The origin station informs you that the product is available for collection. The sequence considers ready, busy and failed signals to coordinate pick-up with the operation of the machine that delivers the item.
- Walk the route
The robot moves the product along the defined route between stations, respecting heights, obstacles and access areas. If there is a difference in cadence, the process needs to predict where and in what condition the product can wait.
- Release at destination
Delivery takes place when the next station is ready to receive. After supporting and releasing the product, the robot makes the area available; the sequence also defines how to resume the flow when there is a stop.
Before sizing
The data that makes a difference.
- Map of origin, destination, heights and distances.
- Obstacles and space for circulation, maintenance and supply.
- Different cadences between stations and need to wait.
- Ready, busy, failure and resume operation signals.
Conditions to evaluate
- The line cadence also depends on the machines before and after the robot.
- Operator access, supply and maintenance are part of the layout.
- Resumption after stops and products between stations need a defined sequence.
What to validate upon delivery
Coordinated flow between stations, with defined operating and recovery states.
